Where is the best place to obtain this turbo, I've also read a few topic on here saying watch out etc as their are replica's and cheap copies. How would you differentiate between them and what too look out for, eg part no's etc...?

Brand new your looking around £800 for a genuine item. Think Backdraft Motorsport sell the turbo's. Genuine turbos will have a blue metal tag on with VW/audi stamp and part number. will also have part number on the actual turbo its self

I've seen a few on ebay for the £300ish mark you think they are genuine, just seems such a big jump in price for what it is for the gain?

none of them on ebay are genuine...  it is up to you but it is your engine.

i got a brand new one as i fancyed being abit diffrent.  :evil:

if my turbo ever dies, then i will buying a new k04-001 i think. got some bigger injectors and 4 bar fpr all on a new injector rail ready to bolt on. should see me to 260+
