Winter !!

I have had too many problems this winter with my car, huge potholes, snow someone hits my car while im asleep! locks snap, gearstick snapped and to finish it off my glovebox latch falls off.

Anyone else had problems this winter?

Hey man...i feel for you...winters in Dubai are hardly cold but u have some serious problems on hand..mayb its not the cold, its u!..are u taking steriods? u must be strong man, cause my vw is a b!tch to break:p.....and lucky u , u had a glove compartment!

potholes have cost me a tyre so far.

just replaced heater matrix on my 1.8 gl , now done  expansion tank , car still doesnt heat!!  now looking to do thermostat or water pump , not sure which yet.
But on the upside my Vr6 hasn!t cost anything in over a year  !!

You may have an air lock mate.

Had this problem with gf's ka over the weekend. Turned out to be the waterpump.

Advice is to first remove the thermostat and let the engine run to see if it gets hot. If it does then it was just a faulty thermostat.

Ha you haven't tried my local council. Its like trying to get blood from a stone.

I reckon getting blood from a stone would be easier, especially now they'll be inundated with complaints about their glorious highways.
