Was over at VW Huddersfield yesterday and not a Golf R in sight. In fact I only managed to spot one R32. However the showroom was missing a couple of cars so I suspect they could be awaiting some new stock :evil:

^^^^ they got a silver 5dr,leather, 19" but its already sold, its round the back aparantly locked up. i just missed that one id have brought it.

There's a grey 5 door with leather and 19's at Breeze Poole that is for sale.

I wonder if anyone has had the chance to compare how the 18 in wheels drive compare with the 19 in in terms of ride/noise/handling .
Also on the photos the appearance does not look hugely different between the 18 vs 19 i wonder how they are in the flesh
I also note that the recurring theme of the car being overpriced relative to the gti I find misleading when you factor in std options 18 in wheels xenon then pay for the body kit rear leds awd and 40 kw !
still many months away down under so i have to satisfy myself reading about first hand experence overseas
