Anyone upgraded to LED rear lights yet!

Im Looking to upgrade my rear lights on the GTI to the LED one's(as on new R's).

Anyone done it yet? Are they even available in the UK yet?





2012 Golf R, APR STAGE 2+, BCS power valve TB exhaust, loba HPFP, evoms intake, Rising blue, 19" Talladegas -BMW M2

I have ordered the LED lights and they are home, waiting for me. But I am still waiting for the inner adaptor cables... apparently hard to get from VW. :(

Im going to wait till i get the car  :grin: Then wait till summer when the parts departments maybe upto speed.

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

There's nowhere to put them.
It would not suprise me if VW come up with LED DTRL for the next model year or later for the mk6 since everyone else is doing it.

There's plenty for sale on the german ebay, going for around £450

Must need wiring adaptors also as they are in most of the pics but dont understand german and cant read the description.

Im guessing like the normal lights you only have one reversing light and one foglight. Just remember if you buy them from Europe in the UK your rev/fog lights will be the wrong way round and not legal here unless you do some modifications to the rear lights to swop them over. Its the price we pay for driving on the correct side. :smiley:
