gti sill trim removal

i am thinking of removing my sill and arch trim off the beast and im wondering how the hell i get them off.
i know how to get the outer trim off, its just the mount for that trim?!
its like it bonded on to the sill of something?
any help please?

The thin strip and the clips are all held on with double sided sticky pads. Get a heat gun on them beofre attempting removal or there's a good chance of removing paint with them.
