Monza II repair
« on: 13 January 2010, 11:01 »
The weather got me in the end:) I managed to kerb it this morning about 100 yards from work!
Has anyone had this alloy repaired and could shed some light on the cost? I've seen prices from £70 to £180!

Thanks!

They can be refurbed at good alloy refurb places...it all depends where you live as to which place   :undecided:

Thanks JonnyG.
It's £80 near MK, which is less then I though it would be but still quite a lot...

If it's any consolation, I've just picked up my brand new mark6 golf gti today and I've already scuffed a monza II on a pot hole

Unfortunatly its virtually impossible to avoid the pot holes at the moment.

I live in crawley, west sussex. I'd be grateful if someone could recommend a local specialist who can repair Monza II's.....?

Thanks in advance

I'll post a pic of my scuffed alloy and my new mark 6 tomorrow.

Just peeded off to get a scuffed wheel on day one, just a few hours after picking it up my new car.

On the plus side, I'm well chuffed with the new car. I'm itching to drive it again in the morning.

I had my BBS refurbished at wheelworksuk who are in Crawley and they are able to refurbed Monzas with the polished finish. They looked at mine which I also happened to very lightly kerb on a pot hole but they advised against refurbing as the finish is not quite factory and that damage was so small that not worth the repair.

MK6 Gti Carbon Grey, DSG, 19in BBS, Bluetooth, RNS510, Luxury Pack, Leather, Cruise control, Tyre indicator, Park assist, Front and rear sensors, Reverse Camera.
