Rolling road results
« on: 12 January 2010, 19:50 »
Had a good day at R Tech over the weekend and we managed to raise £1100 for charity,
A big turn out with people from all over the country turned up & in the crap weather too, (well done to all)
Be rude not to put the car on the rollers as it was for charity

Golf + magazine turned up and a big spread and loads of pics going in the mag

Not quite what Revo reckon but not far off,

Only 1 mk6 there, 1 mk5 gti (hurdys) i think did 365bhp
a few R32s running 240-250s and the rest mk3s and 4s
i think mine came 2nd or 3d on the day out of 20 cars on the rollers so not bad for just a cheeky remap,

all getting printed in Golf + mag so should be good reading

excuse the noobness, but which figures are bhp?  given you've had a remap I presume the ones in brackets?  i.e. 242-258 bhp?

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

Yes thats the figures in brackets 258bhp  274max torque  the last run was low 242 due to heat soak or something ?
They said you will get slightly higher results when on the road due to the wind getting forced through the intercooler etc,
quite happy with that and the car seem to be a lot quicker on the way home after been on the rollers for some reason :undecided:

looks like 260 is about the norm then for a remap then,
i have only ever used V Power aswell when filling up dont know if that makes a difference or just all hype from the garages,

Gossa's and Frog's both got over 270bhp IIRC and mine ran 260 using supermarket 97 RON. Dyno lottery as ever but at least it gives a rough guide as to what sort of figures the Revo stage 1 puts out. From memory I think most TFSI mk5 GTIs (KO3) seem to be around 240-250 bhp with stage 1 Revo so we're a little ahead in bragging rights so far!

How big was the cooling fan @ R-Tech? The one at TSR was quite small.

Yes R Techs fan was small aswell and it was the 1st one with DSG that they have had on the rollers,
Hurdy had to ride shotgun
