Golfgti.co.uk Summer Charity Meet/RR day 29th August
« on: 12 January 2010, 15:45 »
Just been speaking with Nick @ R-tech and he is more than happy to host a summer event.

Date of 29th August, which is the bank holiday weekend. This will be good as most people will be off work and a good chance to come across the day before the event, stop over and have a few beers together.

This again will be a charity event and we will be raising funds for Help for Heroes http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/. Which im sure you all agree is a worthy charity that care and look after our brave men and women that risk there lives to help others.

On the day we are hoping to have a BBQ, Hog Roast and also have Golf+ magazine in attendence along with other companies like Forge, Milltek, Dodo Juice, Super-pro bushes etc to demonstrate there products and also bring a few bits to sell.

£30 for 3 power runs. It will be the vehicle owners responsibility who are putting there car on the rollers to have ensured there oil and water levels are ok or top upped, the R-Tech staff will not have time to do this.

So everyone you have plenty of notice. Pencil the date in your diary

Event will be held at

R-Tech Performance Remaps
Unit 17 Phoenix Business Park
Brindley Road
Hinckley
Leicestershire
LE10 3BY

Lowered cars attention - The R-Tech rolling road is a tuning dyno with a pair of large rollers and the front wheels sit very deep between them to maximise the contact patch. As a general rule a Mk4 1.8T lowered 50mm will JUST get on, 40mm for a TDI (lower sump). If you're slammed on coilovers - wind them up the day before

Also on the day if you wish to order Milltek products then there will be discounts for orders taken.

Right the event is provisionally scheduled in for 29th August.

Hopefully the weather will be alot better for this event ( dont think it could be any worse :lipsrsealed:). I will be speaking with Nick again later in the week to discuss how many cars he thinks his guys can get on the rollers in a day. Managed 20 cars on sunday and they were none stop.
