supercharger probably takes all the figures out of mappable ranges... at least thats all i can think they might mean by it... in which case you need a standalone management or some kind of "piggyback" ECU .. very fast and furious? ;D

Yeah, all the superchargers i've seen come with a new chip or a piggyback one at least, so i guess the standard ecu that is remapped by AmD wouldn't stretch to the necessary parameters.

A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.

The Corrado VR6 was a 2.8 in the USA.  So everyones a winner!

this isnt a pissing contest.

1) i already said i was not concentrating before

2) ok.. ?so its not an abf (due to dimensions..) but i'm right that they changed up the 16v engine capacity.

my point was.. that as they had changed 16v motors, they may well have used the 2.8 vr6 then stepped up to 2.9 later one.

i know where i got this misinformation from... ?
http://www.geocities.com/veedub16v_2000/history/

under corrado this page says "The 16v got the MK3 Golf's 1984cc engine"

ps

i've ?just seen some stuff in several places basically saying 9a 2.0 16v unit in the 'rado is actually less powerful than the 1.8 which is odd. ?i cant find proper figures anywhere.

Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

136bhp for both the 1.8 and 2.0 16v according to parkers... with a measly 115bhp from the 2.0 8v 'raddo.
