Good find matey. Out of interest, if someone bought that for the ?350 and then wanted it fitting how much would it cost, anyone any ideas ? Also, if you fitted that what other mods would you have to make, e.g. suspension, gearbox etc. What's a guesstimate at the total cost for this conversion then ? It's just curiosity as my cab is heavy enough !

for a mk 2 you would need,

uprated engine mounts
adjustable coilovers
upated springs/shocks(not essential but advisable.
G60 brakes

not to sure about the gearbox mate
all needed to cope with the extra weight really.
?500-750 for a professional install

i know a VW engineer that could do it for me for about ?300 bar

So for say about 2k you could get yourself a nice VR6 mk2, not bad. I think I'd be tempted if I had a mk2

The Corrado VR6 is a mighty 190 BHP too, in standard form. (or slightly more for some of us) I'm sure the Golf VR6 is only tuned to 160 as standard though.
