new head for my GTi
« on: 06 January 2010, 12:15 »
i have just bought a High lift cam from one of the guys on here

i wanted to build it into an other head and swap the whole lot over ontl my car

the questions i have are :-

Will a carbed head from an 8v 1800 GT fit my 1800 8v GTi PB engine coded car ??

are things like valve sizes and port shapes the same ??

I'd be looking for a used ported and polished head as 8v ones crop up for reasonable money.

Might be wrong but I don't think a carb head will have injector holes.

Yeah but wayne has an excellent point. If he's wanting to put a carb head on a GTI but still use the injection, he can't.

Surprised it got that far before someone noticed the injector holes would be missing
