The stadard seats are cr*p  you'd think they would at least put bucket seats in the press car!

the bucket seats severely reduce leg room in the back....
The leather seats look good but the standard ones are fine IMO

Yeah but the GTI ones look great in interlagos/leather

As for the comment about rear leg room - who cares about that!?

Glad I went back and paid extra for the leather... the standard seats look more horrid every time I see them.
Buckets are nice, but at over £3k they're a bit extravagent!
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

I had these bucket seats in my old Audi and found that the side bolsters got scraped every time you got in or out; so they tend to get battered very quickly. And, yes, they do severely restrict rear space. I really don't think they are better than the standard sports seats. So, all in all, I cannot understand why any sane person would lash out £3K on them.

I have all but decided to get a 5-door R now. DSG, ACC, Leather and Sat Nav are dead certs. What I can't decide is whether to have Rising Blue or Black. Just waiting for Car's review next week.

The more I see it the more I really start to love it.

I still love the way its got a MKV engine rather than a MVI one :D

I was going to say about that, and it's badged a TSI when it's really the same old FSI as in the Ed30/S3 - Not on really..

I suppose VW don't want to be seen as "going backwards" ? ? ?
