heater contoller has only 1 speed setting. need advice!

hi guys,

ive got a 1996 vr6 5dr, the heater has only 1 speed setting.. full power 4 or nothing. 1,2 and 3 dont work.

will replacing the controller unit (the thing with the 3 dials on) solve the problem or is it a problem with the fan heater itselff??

Heater resistor, comon, pretty cheap & easy.

Golf MK3 1.8 auto and I didn't pay a grand for the "priveledge" :grin:, auto windows all round and a AC. Oh and I've got a luggage net you pricks!

new resister will sort you out. easy to replace too. just plugs in. it's located behind the lower facia panel on the dashboard in the passenger footwell.
