Interior lights dead how do i swap them ?

i drive a mk3 and recently whilst driving at night i noticed that a couple of the green lights behind the heating and fan controls
had started to look a little dim, what i want to know it is it easy to get to the bulbs behind to swap them? and i thought whilst i'm swaping them maybe changing the colour of them is it easy to get hold of new bulbs and swap them ?

just changed mine mate,

not that hard a couple of screws and your there.

it is only 1 light that does all 3 heater controls,it uses a plastic mirror kind of thing to project to all 3 controls.
you will see what im on about when you get there.

halfords sell the bulb aswell... it's a tiny little thing.

i havent had a proper look yet but were about are the screws?
do halfrauds do the bulbs in different colours cos the green light looks poo lol

i took the ashtray out, as i was doing my vag com lead bit aswell.
there is a surround which goes around the dials, unclip this carefully,the screws are underneath that, you will see them straight away once the surround is unclipped.(4 ,i think)
and 2 behind the ashtray...if i remember right..lol

as for halfords doing different colour bulbs, i couldnt say, i was just chuffed they had the normal one in stock  lol

i had a look last night and i couldn't work out how to get it off
i'll have another look today.

i've had a look and i've got the four screws from the inside out but i dont know what to do next so i put it back together 

Also i dont know if this has happened to anyone but after i put it back together, went inside for a few hours and
came back out to go to the shop, i turned the fans on and its makin a weird ringin sound   
does anyone know what that could be? it sounds a bit like the fans hitting somethin as its spinnin around

your nearly there mate.

2 x screws behind the ashtray.........that should just pull out.

unclip the fan surrround to seel the 4 screws ....undo those.

unclip/pull out your rear window dimister.and any other switches you have..elec windows/ a/c ...and pull out the blanking ones aswell.

then it should all just wiggle out with a bit of luck.
enough for you to see the bulb you need to change........dont blink,you might miss it...lol

i'll give it a go when i get a replacement bulb sounds like hard work for a little LED lol
