SUPAGUARD option?

Has any one taken the supa guard option whith there car ?
and is it any good ?
as i got quoted £421 for it as a pack
with full tank of fuel, mats(which come with the car i thought), taxed (with car i would have thought) and aftercare bits for supagard

sounds steep to me ? as i can get the lokal bloke to do the paint guard for £80 mates rate :)

Don't let them do it, a few on here are not happy and had it removed and redone, they just get some labourer to apply it and make a mess of your car,
I had mine removed cos it was done badly mates rates much cheaper and a better job no dought,
just a gimmick to get more money out of you,

Tax is included in the quoted on the road price. Supaguard was around £300 when I paid. Had it on the beemer, it is pretty rubbish really. At least with VW you get an autoglym pack, not tesco value in BMW bottles though.

aaa chears for that wil not opt for that option as i dont need a dojy job on my car
plus my mate is a superb detailer, jusd thought the dealer would be the same

I have ordered it with my GTI. Arnold Clark only takes 150pounds for it. Will be nice to pick up the car with a bit of an extra shine on it.

A compleat waste of money!! Do it your self with colinite and its a much better job and you will have a peace of mind its been done properley!! Colinite cost about 20 pounds !! I dont trust dealers cleaning cars , I tell them not to clean the car on the PDI rather do it myself. I have seen some of the cars and the mess they make of them swirls esp on black cars makes my blood boil !! :sad:

Yes that’s your opinion mine is different. I will pick it up with the protection and then give it two coats of Colinite.
I have used a safe guard paint protector on other cars and it works well. However I would not pay over one hundred and fifty pounds.
Lets be honest no one is going to drive away a brand new car with swirl marks on it.

IMO, i would never pay money for the dealers valeters to use this product, or any product for that matter. There are a few good guys out there at the dealers but not many.

A good recommended detailer/valeter would do a brilliant job for about £100-£150, there a a few good oneS in and around central Scotland.

Just my tuppence worth   :smiley:
