Well, personally I think black wheels just look as if they're covered in brake dust and unloved, but it's your decision.

Sounds good to me. Shouldn't be a problem changing at this stage.

There's been no real photos of a Mk6 R in Rising Blue with black wheels yet. But I've done some photochops:

I'm gonna risk it. If they don't look right, it shouldn't be too hard/expensive to change to silver. Sell the blacks on eBay and buy new silvers.

Black wheels might just about look okay-ish on a silver, red or white car (maybe). But not blue. I know it's a look inspired by motorsport but on a road car it just looks like someone's pinched the hubcaps. If they were back with a polished rim it'd look okay but they aren't, so it doesn't.

Worse case, if you don't like them black, get them re-sprayed silver. Easy.

Dark wheels are 'in' at the moment but they do need to be a big contrast to the body colour (silver, white, red) IMO. 3 or 4 years down the line they might be against you come sale/part ex as i doubt black wheels will be sought after. To respray the faces and the insides you'd be looking at £300 a set.

Personally, I prefer silver wheels.

Black looks ok on something like a Lambo, but not on a Golf.

Just my opinion.
