Hello peoples im Reehan 17 from West Sussex and passed my test yesterday 29/12/09 1st time :D

Basically im after a mk4 Golf 1.4 - 1.6 for my 1st car and just wanted to get more info on the the mk4 before i go and buy one such as common faults and things to look out for

any help will be appreciated and cant wait to start modding Euro Babyyyy!

also ive got Max of £1800 to spend anymore my dad will beat me!!! am i likely to find a decent one at that price?

have a gander in the mk4 section there's loads of info. the is a few common probs but nothin too bad.

hey welcome to the site and congrats on passin your test, bet your well happy!!! :laugh:

I've just recently got a mk4 gti 2ltr and the only problem I have had is the noise you get from the starter motor, but apparently it's a common problem in mk4s,

And I dont think you would get a good mk4 with that kind of money, i paid 2500 for a V reg tho mind you that was a gti

Thanks for the welcomes people! ive been looking on Pistonheads but there all too far from me! my brothers on the lookout as he knoes alot more on cars than me. he got me into the euro styling!
