you shouldnt be able to hear the turbo unless you have a BOOST LEAK

best thing to do mate is get it on the rollers and see how much boost its running etc. R-TECH only charge £35 i think? i took mine to R-TECH for mapping and when they put it on the rollers in standard trim it was 150.6 hp and boosting 8psi just how it should. mine is a s reg (10 years old )

your problem may be nothing but baring in mind there is more than one n75 code on vag com.

Have you had a look around the turbo intake pipe (TIP)?

have a look around the electronic boost controller (n75) make sure all wires are in tact and connections ect.

if all else fails eitherr 1) get some advice of some knowledgeable guys of ere  2) plug it back in to vag com or 2) get it to a rolling road.

hope you get it all sorted mate.

Two things that I had problems with were:

- Check vacuum pipe activating dump valve (the valve next to N75 / boost control valve)
- Check for play on the waste gate on the turbo, sometimes the factory setting isn't perfect or the lock nuts moved causing a slight boost leak which is what happened to my MK4 GTI 1.8T - the car was sluggish on low rpm, had a slight jerk when just touching the accellerator and boost only started @ 3000rpm with strong pulling @ 3500 rpm, after adjusting the actuator arm by 2 / 3 threads to force the waste gate valve on the turbo a bit more closed my car has much more power on low rpm, the slight jerking is gone and the turbo starts boosting @ 2250 rpm
