Good luck with the Range Rover, your going to need it.

Also it is not really a Range Rover as such, built on the Disco chassis and shares almost nothing with the real Range Rover

Thats like saying a honda civic isnt a honda as it based on a jazz platform and uses parts that are not from the jazz?

Its made by range rover - its a range rover.

its more a land rover than a range rover.
the RRS is made on the T5 platform and the same line as the Discovery.

Magna have just started making the Aston Martin Rapide in Austria, does that make it a Magna? No it doesn't, I rest.....

A vet friend of mine has a RRS and rates it very highly.  She is able to get all her equipment in the back and gets down farm tracks in the winter where no one else would venture.

Even been known to carry the odd sheep or two.

As said before on this forum it's a case of ETTO.

Between "R" & a RR sport, there are a different kettle of fish.
It all depends on your requirement really. One thing for sure the RR sport's running cost will be much higher & so is the petrol bill. Another factor to consider is the reliability issue. Don't think it can outlast the "R." To go for a SUV of this range, derv would be the way to go. These modern turbo diesel engines produce a tremendous amount of torque. Is torque you want in a SUV & not outright hp. Think Audi Q7 V12 twin turbo diesel model available on special order. Price is close to 95,000 quid. IMHO, I would compare an S3, Focus RS, BM 135i & 335i with the "R."

Be interested to see what you think when it arrives as I am just waiting for a Discovery 4 to come up with the spec I want (demo or max 6 month). I did consider the Freelander but not much difference space wise over a golf.
