^^^ It's not all in the size  But still the VWR ones are pretty big (352mm compared to 312mm on the stock GTI brakes, plus 6 pots vs. 1) and have one of the thickest disc's I have seen on an aftermarket kit (great for dissipating heat).

So for the money I think them paired with a set of Mk5 R32's or Audi S3 rears could make a great setup (that's my plan any way).

Seen the Visions. They don't look too good in 'real life'.
Better have the 18" Monza Shadow, 18" Talladega, 18" Vancouver or 18" Topaz wheels. Not the Visions. I think there is a picture of Visions somewhere on this thread. They look a bit 'cheap'.
Sorry.

Yea  :sad:I have heard a few guy's saying that on here , Also read a guy who seen them on a golf in the show room and thought they looked fantastic. at twelve hundred quid plus the tyres I can only hope they look good.
Seen a picture of a red Golf somewhere on this forum with them which I have to agree did not look good , but to me they looked as if they could have done with a good clean. Personally I think they look very sporty that's the reason I went for them.
Will up load pictures when the car arrives.
I'm putting Goodyear FI's on the Visions mostly because up in Scotland we get more than our fair share of rain and the F1's are great in the wet and dry.

Was in Glasgow recently. Freezing rain, snow, you name it. Wonderful resturants and very warm and friendly people as always. Stayed at Langs. Loved it.
Hope you are 100% sure of your choice. I like the Topaz 18" wheels. Easy too keep clean!
The tyre choice is very important for those severe weather conditions in Scotland. Goodyear tyres are excellent. Developed in Germany, I think.

Langs is a good stylish hotel. Whenever you are up in Glasgow and have spare time drop me a personal message and I will meet up with you for a beer as I'm not too far from there. I am in the offshore industry so might be away, then again might be home.
