Does it sound like a mouse playing table tennis?

If so, it could be a mouse playing table tennis.

I've got an intermittent rattle on the passenger front door of mine, it's just a piece of trim. MK5 is full of rattles, the cold weather won't be helping.

I think it's something to do with the climate control thing or possibly the air con in the glove box, if it's not more dash rattle then it's perfectly normal :)

I'm pretty sure its the actuator moving (which makes the clicking noise) a damper which controls the amount of hot / cold air that enters the cabin. As its continuously working to maintain a temperature its often moving, I also hear it mine.

Yeah i've got that noise as well as the rattle in the front door.

It seems to do it when I slow down to a stop, perhaps adjusting the climate control to account for the fact that air is not being pushed into the car (like when you are driving?)

It does it when the car is stationary so you're not breathing exhaust fumes from the car in front. Does the same when you reverse too for the same reason.
