« on: 19 December 2009, 18:25 »
i picked up my second mk3 last weekend and last night i noticed that the rear registration plate lights are neon blue  is this illegal? the first pic is with the flash on & the second is without. sorry about the bad quality, it was on my phone.

Any input would be good

Maybe it was too cold and they couldn't be arsed

I'd get them changed tho, not worth the hassle

Almost positive they are illegal. You can't see the reg at all. You might have been lucky on Saturday night!
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Simler thread on the mk4 bit but about LEDs and the colour.
One of the chaps there said as long as the plate can be seen with them on its ok, But i cant see that happing when the police pull you over.
I think to be shore change then back for white ones.
TRANSFORM, & ROLL OUT!

def illegal.  Obviously only the emergency services can display blue lights.  Whilst yours aren't on the front of the car, so other cars aren't going to be swerving out the way, I can still see a pedantic cop using it as a reason to stop you.
