clutch pedal problem

hi guy's, last night while driving home, I put my foot on the clutch pedal and heard a snap, the part that has snapped is a black plastic, peace: part no is 1J2721332A. im just woundering is this the only part that im going to need. or do i have to buy a new clutch pedal as well. any help is much apreciated thanks. p.s its a 1.8 20v non turbo mk4 wvwzzz1jzxp401608. chassis number.

right, i've just had a look, and the only thing that has broken is a black plastic peace part number 1J2721332A. the pedal its self is solid, with no side movements. the white clip, on top of the ball joint is complete, but is not connected to the pedal its self..

the spring is also complete and is attached to the pedal.         so is it just the broken part i need to order cheers...

most of the threads i have read there pedal's have broken ( mine hasn't ) cheers......!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for that dude very helpful. just 1 more question and that is, do i still need to take the pedal out if the only thing that has gone is the stop for switch (number 7 of the diagram ) everything else looks ok, so i just need to know if i have to take the pedal off or not cheers lads...
