« on: 14 December 2009, 10:20 »
went out at 7 as usual this morn to get the my 38k mile 55 plate gti out of the garage, when i started it up it seemed to be running on 3 cylinders and missing badly for about 30 seconds then ran fine, i drove round the corner to the paper shop turned it off then went in the shop came back out and started as normal. any body had this problem??, could it be the coil pack on the way out??

First thing I would be checking/inspecting would be the coil packs and then the plugs.

I've had this happen to me in a 2002 Polo before but never in the Golf.

Like your GTI, the Polo sorted it self out and never did it again.
