Locking & Alarm driving me to despair

I have used this type of key fob for years with Passat's without any problems but this Golf is driving me around the bend.........

Its very difficult to explain in writing so please bear with me.........

Sometime it will lock with the key fob and sometimes in won't {new battery in both fobs yesterday}, sometime I forget my self and undo the doors with the key....that sets the alarm off, now sometimes I can turn the alarm off by turning the ignition on and off but most of the time it just keeps going on and off for 10mins....I have just had to drive it home from the shops with the alarm going off....it would not lock with the key fob so locked it with the key, opened it with the key but opened the back door first to put some shopping on the back seat.......the alarm went off and I could not turn it off......

Any help would be appreciated...........

at I guess I would possibly say you have a faulty door module 

either that or your CCM (central convenience module) has thrown a hissy fit and will need replacing

Cheers, I`ll give the CCM a try, one on ebay for £25....going to be cheaper than what I have planned with a lump hammer........

It has to match the part number with the one curretly fitted perfectly to work

I'd get the car scanned for fault codes before spending any money on replacement parts.  What I've said is based on a little bit of guess work and the problem Dave has with his car

Thanks for the replys......... I am going to try and get it booked into R-Tech in the new year for a few things so may put up with it until then.....

I have been messing with it this morning..........It locks fine with the key fob every time, the problem I have now is if you open any door other than the drivers door first the alarm goes of and you cant turn it off by turning the ignition on and off, it just carries on going off intermittently for about 10 mins.......

Yes the indicators flash.........Went to it this morning after being locked all night by the key fob, pressed twice to open all doors, pulled the drivers door open and the bloody alarm went off.......bloody thing.
