What is the point of making a mk3 look like a mk2, must be easier / cheaper to sell it and buy a mk2.

x 1 milion

same as vento front - just buy a vento

same as horrid bora front on a mk4 - just buy a boring...

mk3 looks best OE+  simple as that

i friggin love the mk2 look on a mk3 it looks so clean and smooth! i even went to do it to mine, bought a mk2 grill but then run out of money  plus the scale of the job was a bit daunting specially as my mk3 is my everyday car so i didnt really know where to start! if anyone could find a guide on how to do it it would be amazing to have!!!

When it was first done it was to be different now everyone is doing it its lost its amazement factor.

Vento fronts are over played and a bit out of date if you ask me.

Don't think you'll find anything close to a guide. I saw a post on VW Vortex once that explained the trouble in even getting the thing to fit. The shape of the arches, size of grill, length of the front, position of everything, etc, all pretty different. If you do try, expect an awful lot of modifying bits and maybe some fabrication  :lipsrsealed:
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

to fit you need

a mk2 front..
a huge tub of filler to blend and fill everything..
and bad eyesight!

Or you could go to a back street "chop shop" and get half a mk2 welded to half a mk3?

^^ It's not on there for style, it serves its purpose, it protects the bonnet from stone chips

I do a lot of driving on the A12/A14, and if you saw my grill you'd understand why it's on there

Joe, I probably do more miles in a week than you do in a month :( And thats all on the bloody A12/A14 lol
