It is mate, even more so when your effectively buying the same car. An upgrade isnt so bad but the same car (albeit better) is a hard one to swallow! Hence the aggressive defense over the mk5.5 comments.

dont bother me

you weren't listening Jules, no one one here is disagreeing that the mk6 isn't a completely new platform but an evolution of the MK5, we can all see that. However most people that have changed from a mk5 to a mk6 have done so because they were in the market for a new car or like having the latest and greatest or genuinely think its a better car. if they can afford it (which they obviously can), who are you to try and make them feel bad about their decision with your CONSTANT negative comments.

I bought the MK6 because my misses fell pregnant after I bought the Scirocco and we wouldn't get three kids in the back. Would I have bought a Mk5? No way, never liked the look of it at all, MK6 addressed all the things i didn't like about the MK5. Will I buy an R? Maybe if I like it. Is £25-£30K a lot of money to spend on a car nowadays? Not for me but I appreciate it is for some.

You say the MK6 is effectively the same car, it aint in my book at all. Like I said, if you think winding people up is fun then you need a new hobby.

Still reeling them in?

Do you really come on here and just drop anti mk6 misquotes to get a reaction? haha, fool, you really do need that mini mate, go on, off you trot.....quicker the better......

Plus it's not all about 'keeping up with a remapped mk6', at the traffic lights people will look across at you with your baby face, in your girly mini with body kit and think, 'ah, what a sweetie, i bet he takes it up the gary'.[/color]
