found engine codes so armed with them when i go looking

The engine cover is that of a PD I think? Arm rest was standard in the 130, it has one. Its a TDi and not a GT TDi hence poverty spec lights and seats.

All MK4 1.9 TDI's are PD engines, the car in the link is not a GT TDI, the seats are the first tell tale signs before looking any deeper. And don't think the badges will dictate what model it is.
Badges on MK4's are all over the place and was up to the dealers what they put on them, hence why you might find a 130 with a red 'DI' and a 150 with the same. And also a 150 with sometimes red 'TDI' or even GTI badged on it.

90bhp and 110bhp engines were NOT PD engines  :nerd:

The 130's were available towards the end of the Mk4's life cycle in SE trim

And the rub strips give it away. Saying that my work friend has a 1.8 20V-T not in a GTi spec. Black rubstrips, poverty lights and seats.

The 130 SE was aval. from 2003?
