Bora Oil consumption and gunk
« on: 02 December 2009, 08:51 »
My Vreg bora seems to be using a lot of oil and there seems to be a lot of gunk at the cap too.
I changed he oil and flushed it too a couple of months ago and it's now needing more oil!?!?

Any Ideas??

Cheers

Checked all the seals underneath?

Crankseal could be letting oil out, have you noticed any oil on the floor after you park it overnight?

Cars don't burn a huge amount of oil naturally, for it to be ready for a top up in such a short length of time suggests a leak somewhere.

What colour are your fumes under high revs?

I'm getting one of my friends to take off the rocker cover to check under there for any signs of anything un-toward.
There doesn't seem to be any leaks as theres no pools on the driveway.

Thaks for your help and i'll post whatever happens with it being checked.

Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?
