Wheel / Colour Scheme
« on: 10 October 2004, 22:36 »
Today was a bit of an eye-opener, I got to see loads of mad ideas and see where id gone wrong, So i was thinking. Should i powder coat my alloys white? I figured a black car with white wheels would look cool, And why knows, I might take it one step further and have a black and white colour scheme LOL, But for now, I just want your oppinions on My Car with White rims, Any takers?  8)

white wheels can look wicked as long as they fit in with the theme of your car, if that makes sense. i see white wheels as having a bit of a motorsport style so obviously would look crap with chrome bumpers etc. but would lookk awesome if you went the whole, bucket seat/roll cage style. just my opinion but i think you need to have a 'look' decided as wheels can make or break a car. word.

white wheels look good but i agree with gtijoe. you gotta keep a motor sport theme. you dont want it to look like a new mini. plus can you live with white wheels? there a pain for brake dust. I am biased as i have black alloys ;D
a black and white theme would be good. especialy for the interior :D

aye up me duck!

Wheels go away wednesday, ?45 a wheel to be powder coated, Luckly i dont have to pay to have them re-furbished as i treat my wheels like i treat my manhood.

I also went out and baught 10 cans of white paint, My interiour, my strut brace kit and some select bodyparts are all getting the white over treatment ;)

My car is very much motorstyled, Front and rear splitters, Stripped interiour, Soon to have buckets and A cadge, So it should all fit togeather :D Thanks for the input  8)

good choice then going for the rallye slag look!! :P but ?45 a wheel? seems quite alot compared to powder coating i've had done, still you'll get a good protective finish.... get some pics when its all done

Think it also depends what the alloys look like. Some would look naff white and others great.
