Nice one, I'll bear it in mind next time I have to do some bodywork. I have a detail sander which I think is very similar, just a bit more bulky. The other tool I have that is also very useful is a powerfile. Don't know too may people that have bought one but they are excellent for reomoving large corrosion deposits in confined spaces.

Fortunately haven't had to use either on my current cars, at least not yet.

Not as bad as I thought it might be. It's sheared all the bolts that connect the driveshaft to the gearbox flange.  :o
Hopefully I will get away with a new set of bolts and a new CV boot kit. Fortunately I managed to find all the bits of CV joint in the road so I should be able to rebuild it.

Was it the CV joint failing that caused the bolts to shear then?

No the CV joint is OK, I think maybe a couple of bolts had worked loose and it was too much for the rest of the bolts to do (Only 4 sheared bolts remain in the flange, 2 are missing completely).
Also I think the with mods that I have done to the car I have increased the BHP to over 200, maybe its too much for them to deal with.  :-\
Once I get it sorted, I'll have to keep a careful eye on it.

Cat removed and straight though exhaust by powerflow, K&N replacement panel filter and chipped by superchips. Then put on rolling road, 95 RON unleaded, just under 200BHP, Optimax: 205 BHP.
Unfortunately not going to well at the mo with a broken driveshaft.  :(
