Kev, dont think there's any need for that. This is an event for charity, and most of the people that are going dont know each other in person but we all have 1 thing in common. We like our Golf's otherwise we wouldnt be here.

No 1 will be camping i dont think as its a 1 day event. Just cos people like to socialise and meet new friends and have some fun all in the name of charity it isnt a bad thing.

Standard cars are welcome. We went through a stage this summer of putting dozens of standard nearly new cars on the rollers for free, aswell as cross checking results with the same cars on other dynos so we could get the calibration just right, so there is little need to worry about accuracy of the dyno.

Hopefully the rolling road shootout will be just a small part of the event anyway.

Oh and turning up to a Golf meet is no more sad or pathetic than talking to strange men on the internet about your new car :afro:

Are you all going to meet up, pretend to be friends with everyone, laugh and joke while leaning against each others cars, drink, talk to ugly girls, sleep in tents then go home feeling like sh!t next day ?

Count me in.

f**kin not. You gaylords.
You forgot to add "Helping others less fortunate" to your list.

Not too worry, you dont need to turn up and be gay, you can alway donate via there website>> http://www.menphys.org.uk/contact/index.html

Looks like a new thread has sprung up for this

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=136151.40

Also, no Mk6s on for the RR as yet.

I'm kinda interested (esp the 10 quid valet!) but it is a long way from Wimbledon...  will mull on this a while.  There is another meet this Sunday in Surrey but all RR spaces have been taken up

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

we have people travelling a good few hours to make this event. I personally will be travelling for about 2 hours tops, others 3.5 hours.

Its all for a good cause and like Nick said, even if you cant attend it would be nice if you could make a donation.
