Not a fan of wax on wheels, not found one that lasts as long as jetseal or poorboys wheel sealant.

Wheel seal n shine.
I put it on at the beginning of October and it is still going strong. Snowfoam and then a jetwash takes all the dirt off and that's me leaving 2 weeks between washes and braking hard.

Nice work on your car by the way

I've seen that a few times now, and that pic is probably the best detailing pic I've ever seen.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Poorboys Wheel Sealant gets my vote.
Just put my winter wheels on, with the summer wheels having 8 months worth of brake dust and grime on the insides (I can't be bothered cleaning the insides normally)...a quick blast with a power washer and they are like new again.
Some tar spots remain....but you can still feel the Wheel Sealant on them.
Highly impressed with it.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

VW,Audi and Porsche used to recommend vaseline in the owners manual - great protection but picked up every bit of dust n crap, not really what you wnat when you come to remove the vaseline in the spring.

Jetseal 109 or Rejex for me, topped off with Swisswax Autobahn

Why would you use 2 different layers of protection ? Jetseal on its own is more than adequate, what would the wax layer on top do that the Jetseal can't ?

hey guys... you are aware that there is a detailing section? no? life does exist outside of the mk6 section you know!

i use 2 layers of jetseat109 and then 2 layers of wax... wax should always be your LSP (last step product) and it should act as your sacrificial layer

This reminds me, I must wax my new wheels (well, new Golf's wheels!). Another vote for Poorboys here. :)
