I wax in the summer and seal in the winter. This is mostly down to the fact the glaze i use after the polish has oils which create an amazinf 'flake pop' but dont allow the sealent (jetseal) to bond properly with the paint. Wax works much better and creates a deeper shine than jetseal anyway so its fine for summer.

Winter is usually a polish, simple glaze to restore the paint and a few layers of jetseal. I try and clean the car 2 or 3 times a week to prevent build up or leave any salt/contaminents on the paint.

I have a guide for anyone who is in need of some help, there will be better ones on detailingworld but its easier to pm for help or post in the thread

VW,Audi and Porsche used to recommend vaseline in the owners manual - great protection but picked up every bit of dust n crap, not really what you wnat when you come to remove the vaseline in the spring.

Jetseal 109 or Rejex for me, topped off with Swisswax Autobahn

Why would you use 2 different layers of protection ? Jetseal on its own is more than adequate, what would the wax layer on top do that the Jetseal can't ?

Extra protection. I prefer the look of a carnauba wax to that of a polymer, but the added protection of the polymer on the wheel is useful to prevent taking wheels off too regularly. I only use wax on the bodywork

So you prefer to protect your wheels better than your paintwork ?  Id have done what you do but the other way round.

Not a fan of wax on wheels, not found one that lasts as long as jetseal or poorboys wheel sealant.

Jetseal -

Heres the wheels after two days after driving in rain and braking a fair bit (you can see where i just rubbed my finger and it came off)

The wheels would usually be filthy after two days and i would use a whole bucket with wash mitt, but took about 1 min on each and used hardly any water

Before

After (i cleaned the caliper this is just to show the wheel  )

Now the car!
