My wallet is now £9,000 lighter.
'06 5 door DSG in black, 77,000 miles, winter pack, 4 GY F1's.  Full VW history.

When should the Cam Belt be changed?! I was told Check the Cam Belt at 60-70k? but change isnt required till 100k?

4 years or 60k i think VW recomend mate.Mine was done with the dealer before i picked it up.Change the water pump as well & make shure it's a genuine vw kit as it comes with all the parts neded.

All of the above, just had my cambelt and water pump done a month or so ago... on 64k miles/4years. Not worth the worry if it goes pop
