hmm bit of a dilema here, was out side givin the old 16v a good wash/polish etc ready for sunday, and some geezer pulls over in his tractor and is admiring my car, says he cant believe how clean it is, then he throws me the question..

'is it for sale then??'

'for the right kind of money' i said

?1300, is what i told him, and hes coming back tonight to have another look etc, he dosnt want it till the end of the month when he returns to ireland, but will pay half in cash for me to keep it for him until he's ready then the rest when he wants it.

At least what ever happens i still have a car for newark!!!!

the thing is a bit of me dont wanna sell it, then ive got the hassle of trying to find another thats as quick/tidy etc.

i was thinking of sticking some for sale signs in at newark anyway, so i spose if this bloke wants it ill let it go, theres many options i have if it does go (not counting on it till i have cash in my hand!!!!) im after a cheap diesel t4 van for next year for floggin stuff at shows etc so maybe ill have to start lookin for one of those!!

thats the great thing about mk2 gti's, tidy ones like yours always get attention from strangers.

went to the scrappy a couple of months ago in mine and the geezer the was drooling all over it ;D

Gaz,

i reckon you should sell if it is gonna give you some profit.

i just sold mine and am really fuming cos i know its gonna take ages to find another but then again i have a nice rallye interior and some rms. if i dont find another one i can always sell my bits to make some more dosh.

looks like the bloke was a bit of a time waster as its now 20;20 and no knock at the door!!

never mind, not bothered either way but theres no rush for me cause i aint got to sell it!!
