Wing Mirror glass

Hi forgive me if I sound a tad thick but. The glass in the heated wing mirrors does this have an element through or is it just plain glass that warms up. The reason I ask is that I want to change the puddle bulbs and according to some people its very hard not to break the glass taking it out. ?

Don't know, but ebay has them listed as both heated and unheated but the heated ones are only 50p dearer which I don't believe for a minute that it would only cost an extra 50p for an element through it.

I would guess there is a heater behind the mirror rather than elements through them like most cars.

Thanks Had seen them, unless some one know for deffo will contact VW I should be able to find it out well before most people get their cars
