No it had been cleaned. I think thats were the scratches on the passenger side doors, rear hatch spoiler and front bumper came from  Its just been sitting about awhile before they got round to delivering it
Have to take my hat off to you Snoopy as you are very calm for someone getting scratches on their brand new car. Has the dealer said they will fix them ?
I like the colour you chose that's what I wanted but my wife said no as I wrote off a Vento in that colour so she thinks it's bad luck for us. Woman !
Love your mark 1 also , it's a cracker.
Hope you get everything sorted out and enjoy your new car.

Dealers 240miles away so not much point contacting them about the scratches. I can hear the conversation now. They blaim transporter or me, the transporter bloke blaims the dealer. Its just never ending ive had that converstaion for 7 months now. These things are sent to test me.
Im going to polish/seal it today so i hope the scratches/marks all come out, i think they will, but im not sure of the bumper ones. I may have to get that done elsewere.
VWcs will phone me at some point to ask how its gone as they still have an open case (im on my 3rd case worker so far! lol) So i have that address. I have also noticed it was PDIed on the 8th  something maybe said about that to cs i think
I still want the service pack (I have 30 days iirc to take it out iirc what the women at VWcs said last time) so thats probably going to another dealer.

does seem a bit odd to have an air intake taking in hot air from the engine. It seems very open.

Glad its finally turned up snoops well done mate.  Nasty to read about the scratches.

As for mine, it's currently sitting on the drive with a cover over it.  I've damaged the L1 vertebral disc in my spine, a condition known as a Disc Prolapse.  Basically the jelly-ooze that the disc sits in has squished out and pushed against a sciatic nerve which has caused a loss of about 50% feeling in my right leg.  I have to go and have surgery to put it right.  So no enjoying my golf for about another 2 months.

Spooner: I really feel for you. My damage was L5 S1 to the left. This was a few years ago. Surgery was needed and it was 100% successful. The quicker you have it sorted the better.

And Snoops is worried about his little scratches, his DRLs, his Xenons, his beeps, his paintwork in the wheelarches, etc, etc

Sorry Snoops, you deserve this slap on the wrist.
