Black (pearl) or candy white?

What's easier to live with (cleanliness-wise) - pearl black or candy white? Is carbon grey easier?

Deep Pearl Black
- Looks great when clean
- Shows dirt, gets dirty quickly
- Susceptible to swirl marks

Candy White
- Looks great when clean
- Shows dirt and gets dirty quickly, but not as bad as black
- Not susceptible to swirl marks

Carbon Grey
- Looks good when clean
- Hides dirt pretty well - not as good as silver
- Moderately susceptible to swirl marks
- Bit boring

I would say white will look cleanist longer just goes gray like white vans  but i think white is now far too common and much more so than black at this time. I also like the black better as it gives it a more upmarket look. It also stops people thinking you simply bought another white good.

From your other thread,
My personal choice if i was re-ordering today after seeing loads and loads and loads of GTIs and mk6 golfs my personal colour choice would be between
Black pearl (looks great but pain to keep clean, but to me makes the car look classy and upmarket)
Red (not a colour i would normally go for but i think it really really works on the mk6 for some reason, and its easy to look after)
Graphite blue. (a colour that after looking out of my works window for a month has really grown on me the way it changes colour. Its sort of inbetween the black and red for looking after, and maybe looks a bit more expensive than the red, also its different and thats another reason i like it)

thanks, Snoopy  -  I think I agree about white  -  too many around  -  pearl black worries me re cleanliness  -  silver is easier to keep clean but a bit boring  -  what about carbon grey? probably easier to keep clean but a bit boring? I have considered graphite blue  -  I might settle on that  -  not too bright as to be brash but not too dark as to be boring  -  might clask with cloth colours but should be ok  -  red does look good but I think I want something with more of a 'spark'

Whilst both colours will show dirt, black will show road salt in the winter and dust in the summer - very annoying to find a layer of sut on a black car hours after cleaning it !  White is more tolerant to cleaning (ie not going to show swirls etc from bad cleaning techniques).

Red hides dirt well - thought i'd throw that one in since you obviously still haven't decided what to put on the order form.
