Tyre pressure
« on: 22 November 2009, 09:10 »
Can't find the correct psi for the gti on the car. There is no mention (Tips and maintenance section (3.3)) on the car manual. Anyone know what tyre pressure I should run?
I spend 95% on my own driving the car to work! Thanks for your help!

Excellent...so 40psi F and 42psi R to give a little more bite and kill some understeer!
What's suggested for a full car load F&R?

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Thanks Guys! Check my tyre pressure today-----only 32psi all round! No wonder I only manage less than 300miles with a full tank of petrol! Strange that I didn't spotted that. I had just been to the petrol station 2 days ago.

Instead of going to the gym today, I pump-up all four tyres to 40psi with my footpump and give the car another good clean. Not a bad way to lose some calories!

Took the car out for a quick spin, the ride had not deteriorated despite the extra 8psi on each tyres. The ACC must be working very hard!

38 F and 42 R should improve things a little then?
