will corrado rear calipers fit on my 16v?
« on: 20 November 2009, 22:46 »
This afternoon, i popped to my local scrappy for a nosey around and i got my hands on some mk2 goodies for my golf which included some decent rear calipers. :smug: The handbrake springs on mine are weak so when i spotted these beauties on the back of a corrado i couldnt resist. i think i could get away with just using the springs but i wandered if anyone out there knows if they are the same. (they look the same) because i fancy cleaning these up and fitting them complete.
sorry but i never looked at what year the corrado was. my golf is 88 F
stamped on the corrado calipers is girling and a big "38"

Sorted now, i took the corrado calipers apart to have a look b4  gettin seals and the one piston was quite pitted so i had a thought.
 :nerd:
the only prob with the ones on my car is the handbrake springs have lost there spring! so ive took the ones off the new calipers, which are beefier too. handbrake works a treat now. no binding
