Amaryllis red
« on: 20 November 2009, 17:20 »
I´m met my dealer today and saw an Amaryllis red Golf TSI in the showroom!

Any opinions about this colour? Anyone who owns an Amaryllis red GTI MkVI? Any pictures?
Can I live happily with this colour or would I wake up trembling with feber 6 moths later...

At first glance it looks OK, but I don't think I could live with it for long...

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Amaryllis red is not an option on the GTI in the UK. IMO it looks a bit dull.

That colour does nothing at all for the golf IMHO.

Can't even find it as an option in Europe.

Looking at volkswagen.de and comparing it to vw.co.uk i think Amaryllis red maybe the same as passion red in the uk.
Try looking through the cars in the used section at
http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/used/search
select golf on the list on the right.

Then click on your selection in the box on the left and untick everything except mk6 hatchback, (don't forget to scroll down the list)

Click the + next to 'fine tune'. Scroll down the list on the left and click the red box.

Click search now.
You will get a list of secondhand cars. Have a look through them for a metallic red ones. Arnold clark and a few others have them with photos.

Thank´s
It´s a mess with colours, why can´t VW name different colours the same all over Europe?!
Anyway my favourite is Red Spice Metallic which is no option in Sweden for GTI Mk VI
