Good news...I have exactly what you are looking for...07 plate, March 2007, 35,000 miles, Black 3dr, DSG with paddles, leather Recaros, xenons, Monza II's, i-pod, mobile hands free kit, luxury pack, winter pack, 6-cd unit.  The original owner paid £28k for this car...I paid £17k in July this year after waiting about a year for the right one to come up...had to travel from Aberdeen to Sunderland to collect.

Bad news...I bought it with the intention of keeping it forever...therefore it's not for sale...sorry...!!!

The lesson to be learned is that patience is a virtue...if you wait long enough you will be rewarded with the car of your dreams.

I've no problem waiting for the right car, I already have a year old JCW mini the golf is going to be our second car  Savings are growing every month so I'll be ready to pounce

Im trading down to a cooper works for a year to save some pennies, fun little cars

And everyday that goes past your less likely to find one with less

It's swings and roundabouts mate, my car choice isn't limited purely to a mk5 gti! It's not like I'll be gutted if I don't get one.

I narrowly missed out on one a few months ago that had only done 13k.

Nice one, I had reservations about paying how much I did for mine new but tbh it is by far the best car I've owned/driven. I even prefer taking it for a thrash compared to the Evo 7 I had before it. I can't see myself selling it for a long time!

Get yourself a proper golf then mate, recaros are much more likely in a 32. It also comes with two important extras you cant get on the GTI

35k miles is quite high for an 07, im on 33k and mines a 55 plate!

Should be good for a year. Its going to be the missus car mainly but ill use it every so often (why it needs to be a works, she will be happy with a standard cooper lol)
