flashing climate control

hi,

i want to know if anyone else's climate control flashes and what's it's meaning.  I get it when I start the car.  I either need to press 'econ' or 'auto' to stop it.

mine does the same mate, wish i could take it off tbh, car sometimes just randomly revs to 2k when i switch mine on then settles plus i get nothing out of the blowers!

definitely something wrong though as I didn't use to have this problem but I still have yet to get my vag-com running

if its the same as mine, it started flashing, i changed the a/c pressure switch and it stopped. I get the feeling its a visual warning like when the dash flashes to tell you something is wrong

i agree with it being a warning!!  Where is the AC pressure switch can i ask??  I seem to have lost my aircon too-no cold air comes out even with 'auto' engaged...did this happen to yours too??

Found this in the manual if it helps

If,after switching on the ignition,all symbols in the display area flash for about 15 seconds,there is a fault with the system-contact a vw dealer

* should the cooling system not work at anytime,either:

--the ambient temperature is less than approx. +5 *c

--the compressor of the cooling system has switched off temporarily due to the coolant temperature being to high

--or the fuses have blown

check fuse and,if necessary,renew it.If the trouble is not due to a defective fuse,have the climatronic checked.
*If the cooling system drops off,switch the a/c off and have the system checked
