NCB Documents
« on: 19 November 2009, 10:23 »
I was previeously with Frizzel who are Liverpool Victoria in essence. Trying to get a copy of my 4year NCB documents from them is turning into a pain in the arse. They have to supply this information if I request it don't they?

Is the policy still running with them? Do you owe them any money?

I believe they are required to supply it, but why not give all the details to new insurers and see if they will get it?

Going to give them another ring and complain till I'm red in the face. I'm no racist but I really really really hate these out sourced call centers it does my head in!

They do, and honor it for a minimum of two years.

Well rang them today and they said because I rang to pay the rest of my policy off and to say that I didn't want to go with Frizzel after the term of the policy they where not going to send out a quote and said my NCB would be locked at 3years. Asked how this has happened and was told thats the way the policies work out.

Had a bit of an argument with them before deciding I need to chill out and ring back later. Anyone able to shed any light on this?

Hi Gavl,

It's my first day on the forum after our discussions with the powers that be in relation to sponsorship and after seeing your post thought we could also lend a hand.

Within this thread you mention that your policy has ended, which if this is the case then there should be no problem with their supplying proof of NCB to you as they are obliged to do so.

You mentioned that you required 4 years but they we confirming 3 years after expiry. With this in mind did you begin the policy with 3 years NCB and cancel before the policy ran the full 12 months?

If so, they would be correct as you would have to complete the full 12 months to earn the extra year with them.

Whilst we have not dealt with Frizzels directly (other than to contact them for NCB on behalf of our new customers) our experience of their parent company (LV) is really positive, they've been friendly and helpful in all dealings with them.

I'll PM you some contact details that will get you through to their Bournemouth head office.

Kind regards

Tony
