One for R-Tech or Topher

alright lads, looking at getting a K04-001 turbo very shortly. Now with this fitted to my car i know it will need re-mapping but as for things like fuelling and charge temps would you advise changing anything else. Would i need to upgrade to a forge intercooler or could i run without for the time being

Looks like a few members are a little miss informed

This turbo is a direct fit.At a guess i'd say uprated fuel pump(lcr will be fine)genesis injectors and maybe a 3 inch maf housing.A fmic would also be a must imo.

cost of these arent alot different from K03s turbo's and as patch said there are a direct fit. Power wise with the correct mods i beleive these turbo's can amke more power than a k03s

i know theyre a direct fit, i was under the impression they are a few hundred more than a ko3s, then you have to piss around with injectors and stuff, for what kind of power over a ko3s? (its a question im not being a smart arse!) :P

Sure they are the cheapest option to get into the 250+ bhp club, why you would want that much power in a fwd golf i wouldn't know.

As we've seen with some of the other Agu k03's, they make almost 240bhp (nice )

Mine made 219bhp, but then again it was eating the clutch and now sllipping under the big power difference over the std k03

R-tech Agu k03s power!!

I beleive you can still run your standard injectors and plus if i can source one for the same price as you would pay for a k03s then it seems to make sense in going for the bigger turbo if my plans are to go for 250bhp+

Reason = Grin factor. Plus used to have a calibra turbo running 300bhp on front wheel drive and its not as bad as what people think.

I was gonna go with this option but couldn't find a genuine part plus then this k03s came up, off a 11k mile Octavia!
