Am putting on mud flaps... and yes they have the right mud flaps for the GTI (rear ones)... the product code is the same with the regular Golf except the last 3 digits are 105 instead of 100. And I think its not too bad...

James,

I don't think mudflaps do much for the GTI.

You will never own a GTI if you keep Um'ing and Ah'ing.

If your not careful, someone might start a "Lets wind up James Gould thread"

I think you should get the Winter pack though.

The photo above confirms my view that, while the front ones are just about tolerable, the rear ones look terrible. Just my opinion

I think they are hideous too, but I'll be getting some for mine once I get it, as I live in Sicily where the roads are usually littered with debris.

Drove down to the Parents In Law last weekend (120 mile round trip) and TBH the roads were terrible due to the recent weather. I am glad we had the mud flaps due to the amount of standing water we had to negotiate.

The result was that the car needed minimum cleaning when we arrived home. So do you sacrifice looks or do you have bits of rubber that may not look good, put protect your new paintwork?

I think I’ll go for the later.

Got me a set (front/rear)off ebay for around 60.00 thats 30.00 cheaper than the dealer fitting them on Thursday, reason is there are major road works for the next year round my way that I travel through and only so many times they can wash the road everyday. So hope to save a bit of the lower paint work, should also help stop so much tar sticking...

Ps were they a doddle to fit ?
