Blue temp sensor & temp gauge sender
« on: 16 November 2009, 14:24 »
My mate works right near a gsf place in leicester so he popped in to grab the blue temp sensor thingy. Apparently they come with either 2 pins or 4 pins? I cant even get to look at mine cus me bonnet locking mechanism is on the blink.

Its a G plate big bumper 1.8 8valve digi. I imagine only 2 pins?

Ah nice one, what would a 4 pin application be for? 16valve?

I just thought cus the sensor from there is only 6 quid and I aint even gotta get off my arse.... lol

Not even sure that its the temp sensor thats kerput. From cold it doesnt seem to be on choke if you know what I mean. Even when its like arctic temperatures its trying to idle at like 800rpm. Have to sit on my driveholding the revs at about 1500 for 5/10 mins before I can go anywhere in it on all cylinders n its starting to become rather testing lol

Ah right no probs. I'll stick this gsf rubbish in tomorrow and see what happens. When I have had the oil pressure tested I'll pop over to the vw dealership n get the oem part.

Cheers for the info

We stock and sell ELTH+ branded blue temp senders!

These are the EXACT SAME ONES YOU BUY AT THE DEALERS

All that ours don't have is the VWAUDI logo due to the fact you are not allowed to sell anything on the aftermarket featuring the copyrighted logos.. They just file it off the side and sell them a damn sight cheaper

If any of you need them we're on 0117 941 86 41 / 42 and soon come at www.vwsonline.co.uk
