if you don't have a torque wrench yes but don't keep forcing it round otherwise you'll knacker the thread

I'd advise you pick up a new bolt too

got a new bolt from dealer is it same size as normal mk4 bolt as thats what i ordered?  also bolt has blue stuff on it am i right in thinking its thread lock stuff?

as long as you ordered a steering wheel bolt then yeah its a direct replacement.
