Just thinking as the car most of the engine upgrades has 312mm brakes he would have at least gone for that as an upgrade, aggreed the 288mm aren't bad, was going to try and put some on my mk2 but heard its a no go cause of the discs.
the g60 280mm set up is more than man enough for mk2s.  If you really wanted to you could go to the brembo 305mm 4 pot set up but that is over doing it.

Only reason is cause i have a full set of 288mm calipers and carriers sat in my garage.
MK4 GTI T AGU, REVO Remap, BMC carbon box, Miltek cat back, Forge diverter valve, THS FR3 engine/Gbox mounts, Some random alloys, lowered on coilovers.
192bhp 212lbft torque.

288s stopped lardy mk3 VR's well enough so there should be no need to really uprate these other than decent discs, pads, fluid and lines...esp as there has been no weight added.  Most people only upgrade brakes for aesthetic reasons

I'd agree with that, i'm quite impressed with the mk4 brakes, i've suffered no problems or fade yet

sell them to a mk3 gti owner...I'm sure they could do with some help to slow their boat like weight down

Will put them up at some point, got loads of car parts sat in my garage need to sort out what i do and don't need and get some stuff sold.
